Dayton T. Brown, Inc. Awarded $55.8 Million U.S. Navy Contract Modification to Support P-8A Mobile Mission Systems

New York City, New York, Oct. 05, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) --

Dayton T. Brown, Inc. (DTB) has been awarded a $55.8 million modification by the U.S. Navy to support the P-8A Poseidon Mobile Mission Systems (MMS) mission.

This modification establishes a new material contract line item within the existing scope of DTB's order for the procurement of five P-8 Ground Systems and 21 Fly-Away Kits. The materials will support system and subsystem modifications, upgrades, integration, and capability and capacity growth. The modification also exercises options for continued Mobile Mission Systems support.

Work will be performed at DTB's Mission Systems Division facility in Hollywood, Maryland, with completion expected in March 2027. The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division, Patuxent River, Maryland, is the contracting activity.

“This award reflects the continued trust our customers place in DTB to provide the engineering, technical, and mission-support capabilities required for complex defense programs,” said Jim Kelly, President of DTB. “Our team is proud to continue supporting the U.S. Navy's P-8A Mobile Mission Systems mission and the ongoing evolution of these important capabilities.”

Supporting P-8A Mission Systems

The P-8A Poseidon is a U.S. Navy maritime patrol aircraft, and its mission capabilities rely on an integrated ecosystem of aircraft, ground systems, communications, data, and mission-support infrastructure. The award builds on DTB's ongoing work supporting U.S. defense and aerospace customers through its Mission Systems Division. This new award also adds to DTB's portfolio of work supporting critical U.S. defense programs and demonstrates the company's continued role in providing technical and mission-support solutions for complex government requirements.
